How we collect, use, and protect data for visitors to viddai.net, people who try the demo call, clients with personal AI assistants, and the people those assistants call, text, and email. The plain-English version lives in the House rules on our homepage.

Who we are

Vidd AI is DD Operations LLC, doing business as Vidd AI, based on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. We build and run AI assistants: personal assistants for people, and assistants that work for a whole business and its team. You reach us at david@viddai.net.

Who this policy covers

What we collect from website visitors

Very little. We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool that works without cookies and doesn't build personal profiles. We don't run ad trackers, and we don't sell anything about your visit to anyone.

A few page assets load from third-party services: our fonts come from Google Fonts, and the program logos on our integrations page load from Composio's public logo service. Like any web request, those services see standard connection data such as your IP address. Neither sets tracking cookies through our site.

What we collect when you try the demo call

When you use the Meet page, you give us your name, email address, and phone number, and we place one automated AI call to that number. That call is recorded, transcribed, and summarized. We tell you at the start of the call, and by submitting the form you consent to receiving the call and to its recording and transcription. After the call, we email the transcript and recording link to the address you gave us.

Worth knowing

Demo calls are capped, per phone number and per day overall, to prevent abuse. Only enter a phone number you own or have permission to use. Demo calls last up to ten minutes.

What we collect when we run your assistant

A personal assistant only works if it can reach your stuff. As a client, you choose what to connect, typically some of: email, calendar, files, phone and messaging, and the business tools you already use. From there, we handle:

When your assistant contacts someone for you (calls the plumber, texts a customer), it handles that person's name, number, and the content of the exchange as needed to do the task. Calls your assistant makes or takes are recorded and transcribed, and it discloses recording at the start of a call.

For business clients, the same applies at the company level. The assistant may work with the business's calendars, client records, and the tools the business already uses. Team members the business authorizes can talk to it, and their messages to the assistant are handled the same way the owner's are. The business owner sets per-person rules at setup, and the assistant shares business information with team members according to those rules. If the assistant answers the business's phone line, those calls are recorded and transcribed, and it discloses recording at the start of each call.

How we use it

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not train our own AI models on your data. The AI providers we use process your requests through their business APIs, which under their policies are not used to train their models.

Who processes data for us

We build on established services, each getting only what it needs to do its job:

ServiceWhat it does for you
Anthropic & OpenAIThe AI that understands requests and does the thinking
RetellRuns the voice calls (speech, transcription, recording)
TwilioPhone numbers and call connections
MakeMoves task data between services
GoogleEmail delivery (transcripts, follow-ups)
NetlifyHosts this website
CalendlyBooks your call with David
PlausibleCookieless site analytics

We may disclose information if the law genuinely requires it, or to protect against fraud and abuse of the service.

Isolation between customers

Each client's assistant is set up separately. What your assistant knows about you stays with your assistant. It is never shared between customers, never pooled, and never used to help someone else's assistant. David, as the operator, accesses your setup only to build, fix, and improve your assistant.

Approvals and control

You set the rules for your assistant: what it does on its own and what always waits for your OK. Consequential actions, like anything involving money, always wait for your approval; our systems are built so the assistant cannot spend money on its own. Everything it does is written to an action log you can read.

How long we keep things

Your choices

Email david@viddai.net to ask what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. We honor reasonable requests regardless of where you live, and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

Access to your accounts is granted by you and scoped to what your assistant needs. Your login credentials are stored in an encrypted password vault, separate per customer, and are not placed into AI prompts or the assistant's memory. Because the accounts are yours, you can always lock the assistant out. For accounts it signs into with a vaulted password, changing that password cuts access immediately. For accounts connected through a provider sign-in, such as Google or Microsoft, a password change alone does not always end an active connection, so we revoke the connection on request and confirm it is dead, same day. Guardrails live in code, not just in promises: destructive actions and payments are blocked without your approval. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data, we'll tell you promptly and plainly. The plain-English walkthrough lives on our Security page.

Children

Our services aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes get told to clients directly, not buried.
